About Our School
Leera Schools is registered with Ministry of Education and Vocational Training with registration no: Z0000036792 and is an establishment approved by all recognized authorities under The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar to provide educational services. Leera Schools is also the member of the privately owned school association with its Management providing valuable inputs towards ever changing needs and demands of modern day and boarding school.
The aim of Leera Schools’ establishment is to promote progress by educating students to become home grown leaders who can create positive change in their societies and communities. Leera Schools is committed to its vision by providing state of the art, competitive, and challenging educational opportunities for exceptional and determined students, regardless of their cultural or socio-economic background.
Our Story
Leera Schools is founded by three Zanzibari women (Ammal, Farheena & Shahira) of diverse backgrounds and upbringings. They share a common bond in quest for ‘high quality education’ for their children that will prepare them to become independent learners, with early exposure to realistic environments.
As natural caretakers, we, the founders of Leera Schools aspire for our children and others to excel to the best of their abilities. Leera Schools will serve as a foundation for students to learn, evolve and rise above their potential.

As an educator, our role in the pedagogy of play is to support children in playful explorations with goal orientated interaction focusing on methodology, knowledge and research of education.
